“I suppose that makes sense, but just because I take this form does not mean I am not ‘tough’,” she explained. “Besides, is the sword you see not more sleek and delicate in appearance than the ‘spirit’ you see accompanying it?”
“I-I didn’t think you otherwise—”

“—I’m just.. Just caught off guard, I guess you could say… Sorry.” The more she compared herself to Yamato’s solid, sword form, the more it did make some kind of sense.
Yamato smiled a little and shook her head. “There is no need for apologies, it is quite alright,” she nodded and patted his head softly. “Though being a man would be quite strange…. I am still getting used to this form, after all.”
Come along, everyone, and watch as Ivory and myself ‘Master Debate’ together.

Nero smiled. He’d been kinda expecting that - almost hoping, really. It gave him a reason to slide casually out of his side of the booth and gently into hers, his own menu in hand.
“Okay, well, you’ve had chicken wings before. I think I remember you liking those, right?” He grinned. It had been from here they’d been ordered. He pointed to the picture in the corner of the menu. “This is the Sharer Platter. It’s got chicken wings, breaded garlic mushrooms, fries, onion rings and corn. They’re all pretty good.”
His stomach grumbled and he grinned sheepishly. “There anything that’s catchin’ your eye?”
Yamato watched as Nero came to her aid, moving into the seat to explain everything to her. “Ah, it all sounds rather…. interesting. Perhaps you should just order for the both of us,” she suggested, a slightly helpless expression on her face as her nose crinkled slightly. The food sounded rather interesting, but she still had no idea what it was.

He ignored Yamato’s voice as he continued to tear across the grass. The cat was much faster, for obvious reasons and he lost it on the outskirts of the trees. t had run up the nearest trunk and was currently hiding in some of the topmost branches. Like a coward!
“RRRRRUFF RUFF!!!”
He barked and growled angrily up at the smug little bastard, determined not to be defeated. The cat had to come down some time…
Yamato frowned and lightly swatted Nero on the back of the head. “Enough!” she chided, crossing her arms over her chest with a huff. “Down boy!”
doubledowndown:
He thought it over - pictured it in his head. It wasn’t a bad idea, though something was definitely missing and it was kinda obvious what.
“Them on one arm and you on the other?” He suggested, giving her a gentle smile. “You’d have to go on the right arm. Y’know… because…”
He trailed off. he figured the rest was pretty self-explanatory.
Yamato blinked as he spoke up, though a small smile quickly graced her lips. “As you wish. I believe I can handle that easily enough,” she agreed. The thought he cared enough to make sure she was included made the devil arm feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
“I suppose that makes sense, but just because I take this form does not mean I am not ‘tough’,” she explained. “Besides, is the sword you see not more sleek and delicate in appearance than the ‘spirit’ you see accompanying it?”

Nero smiled at the hand-squeeze and gently squeezed back. Comfort seemed to be settling over him like a nice, cozy blanket and he was enjoying her reaction.
“In the ocean?” he asked, turning to face her. “Y’know, it’s pretty cold. Might wanna wait until the weather’s a little better, but… sure. I’ll take you swimming…”
The awe in her eyes was beautiful. Like a painting. It took all he had not to laugh nervously at his own inability to just… kiss her. Damnit.
Maybe later.
Yamato smiled brightly, excitement gleaming in her eyes when Nero assured her they would be able to swim eventually. She was so excited, swimming in the ocean was something she’d been wanting to do for a long time. “Thank you!” she chirped, squeezing his hand excitedly before her tummy rumbled again. “Ah…. perhaps we should go now….”
Man, even her tummy rumbling was cute. “Yeah,” he laughed, turning and escorting her back across the lot and into the diner itself. The smell hit him as soon as the door was open - barbecue, whisky glaze, spices, and… yeah, he could smell the chicken wings from here. He was pretty darn hungry, but his excitement had been a useful distraction up until now.
He pulled Yamato into a booth by the window, overlooking the cliffs. From here they had a clear view of the horizon and the sun as it started to dip over it.
He passed Yamato a menu and glanced at the other, though he already knew what he was gonna order. He was more interested in Yamato’s reaction to it than anything else.
Yamato glanced around in awe as they entered the restaurant. She’d never been anywhere like it before, it was truly amazing to her. “Oh wow….” she murmured as they were seated and she looked out the window. The view was breathtaking, and the only thing to distract her from it was the delicious smells floating about.
The silverette picked up her menu and read it over, frowning just a bit. “I do not know what anything is….” she admitted.

Nero bounced as he spun round this time, taking off after the ball as fast as he could on all fours. It really was a good thing there was no one else around. Not that he cared at that precise moment. This was too much fun!
He caught it!! He caught it again. He was such a fierce hunter. The ball didn’t even stand a chance. It was almost like it wanted to get caught. He barked smugly to himself as he picked it up in his teeth and…
Something caught his eye from over by the trees. Something small… something… feline.
A cat! A filthy little cat. What was a cat doing in HIS park? Sneaky little…
He dropped the ball and growled and the cat’s eyes snapped straight to him.
“GRRRR, RUFF RUFF!!!”
It ran and he followed - ball forgotten as he dashed towards the trees.
“Oh dear….” Yamato frowned and chased after Nero. “Nero! Nero, stop it! Bad dog!” she shouted as she ran after the boy. This wouldn’t do at all.

doubledowndown replied to your post: “So, uh…” he began, out of nowhere, holding his…
“Well…” He looked down at the jacket, his expression pretty darn unreadable. “I wanted to change somethin’…”
“Oh? I can probably help. What would you like to change?”
He walked over to the couch and sat down beside her, presenting the jacket’s sleeve. “I, uh… I took the Order symbol off. I didn’t really have any tools so I just sorta… picked the stitches with my nails.” And by nails, he meant claws. “I was thinkin’ of putting somethin’ else there. A different symbol. Can’t think of anything off the top of my head, though.”
He looked up and gave a small, tired smile. “Any ideas?”
Yamato looked thoughtful as he asked for suggestions. “How about a rose with a sword for the stem….” she suggested, trying to include his other weapons in the design.
